Professor Bartha Maria KNOPPERS

Bartha is an expert on ethical issues of genetics, genomics and biotechnology. From 2001 to 2009, she was Canada Research Chair in Law and Medicine at the Université de Montréal. Her research interests include bio-banks, stem cells research, cloning, and assisted reproduction, etc. She is currently the Director of the Centre of Genomics and Policy of the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

Professor Lee was the Dean of Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. As the first Asian scholar who was awarded the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Distinguished Achievement Award, he is known for his research on hepato-biliary physiology.
