Master of Laws in Medical Ethics and Law
The curriculum of the Master of Laws in Medical Ethics and Law (LLM(MEL)) programme is designed as an integrated interdisciplinary one that addresses concerns of growing importance in the health professions, law and business. The programme aims at providing students with an appreciation of various aspects of the fields of health ethics and law, such as medical negligence and bioethics. The curriculum offers lawyers, social scientists, policymakers and healthcare professionals a guide to the fundamental ethical, legal and social issues influencing the delivery of healthcare.
This programme is open to candidates with a degree in law, or in medicine. Suitable candidates holding a degree in a discipline other than law or medicine with at least two years of relevant experience or professional qualifications will also be considered.
